Astronomy Look-alikes, No. 68

I keep getting told off for not having enough female lookee-likees, so how about this one? I’m struck by the resemblance between astronomer Catherine Heymans and singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell. I wonder if by any chance they might be related?

I don’t doubt that Catherine Heymans is the better singer as well as the better astronomer.

Not sure if you’ve done it on purpose or not, but you definitely have the photo captions the wrong way round!

The names and photographs are mismatched. Was that intentional? No matter. They are both artistic and intellectual giants. And beautiful as well, perhaps because their exceptional talents show through. Thank you.

  5. That’s not Joni Mitchell, it’s the particle physicist Tara Shears

I’d never heard of Tara Shears. She sounds, and looks, interesting. However, I’ve been in love with Joni Mitchell since the 1960s. I know her when I see her. That said, since we live in a quantum world, one never quite knows with certainty.
