    I’ll never understand why everything must be rendered so childishly. In any case, when graphically realized this way, the idea seems even more vapid and naive.

    My favorite part of the fable is inflation’s explanation for why we do not observe magnetic monopoles. The GRAND AHWHOOM spread them out so far and wide that there might only be ONE left in the observable universe, and mathematically it can be shown that the little bugger has a very high probability of being beyond the reach of our instruments. Brilliant!
