KCTMO – Playing with fire!
This blog post was written in November 2016. Today the building went up in flames. We can only hope that no lives were lost.

Whatever the short- and long-term reasons for this catastrophe, I’ve always been astonished that more tower blocks don’t go up in flames.

I don’t know what started the fire, but it seems that lives have been lost. The investigation must be thorough.

There are supposed to be design features that stop fires spreading long enough for people to get out and for emergency services to put them out. This one seems to have spread incredibly quickly. There are also reports that the smoke alarms didn’t work.

I think Kensington council threatened to sue the blog author for defamation when he posted that item. And the actual fire seemed more fierce than anything in a Hollywood movie. An appalling tragedy.
