Geothermal energy does indirectly come from the Sun as the Earth was formed from the Solar Nebula. Likewise nuclear energy.

I remember being very surprised when I first realised that a human’s energy output per kg was three orders of magnitude greater than that of our sun. But my take home message was that this shows how large the sun is. Imagine the luminosity of 10^30 kg of humanity!
