Nothing like a good academic row, although to me Loeb is the series of books publishing the extant Latin and Greek classics with English translations included.

they note that the Loeb et al paper is being quoted as published when its only appeared on arxiv and has not been peer-reviewed. This is why I think that institutional repositories and sites like arxiv are important to ensure that papers are free to access, but there still needs to be some method of peer review, such as provided by OJAp.
