The Last Post – Cardiff University Remembers

 

If you think a lot has happened since July 1st this year, pause a moment to reflect on the fact that 100 years ago today the Battle of the Somme was still raging.

    Incidentally, that was a scheduled post timed to go up at 11.00am precisely. At that time I was observing the two minutes’ silence together with a number of colleagues and students in the Main Building of the University, where some of that film was shot.

    One thing Tasmania does well besides hosting the cricket is to grow poppies row by row. Splendid to see in December.
