Anyone for Cricket?
Going through the mail that arrived during the ten days or so I’ve been in Ireland, and with the snow steadily descending outside my window, I find the handy booklet containing this year’s fixtures for Glamorgan County Cricket Club has arrived at last.
Glamorgan’s first County Championship match starts on April 20th, just a month away, but their first home game isn’t until May (against Kent) . Hopefully the snow will have melted by then!
I now have a bit of planning to do in order to fit in as much cricket as I can this summer in between trips to and from Ireland as well as conferences and other things…

You’ll also find there are some friendly matches in Cardiff before the season begins, free admission but probably no bar or food service, so popping out to the local Mochyn Du pub is recommended. See

This includes a rare chance for Glamorgan to play Lancashire.
The early Easter makes it unlikely I’ll get a chance to watch any games before July, but I may be able to get to see the Saturday of the Lancs pre-season game.
For July/August I look forward to T20 games at Cheltenham and Richmond, though no doubt tickets will need to be bought in advance. And there’s the floodlit 4-day game at Hove.

Yes, Glamorgan versus Cardiff MCCU starts on Friday 13th April. I might catch a bit of that.

I see that there’s a two-day Glamorgan versus Lancashire game this week, being played in Dubai.
